Title: Government Healthcare: We Can't Afford It! View count: 3218 Rating: 4.1489363 (188 ratings) Description: I do the math here! We can't afford Universal Healthcare and it will not be 'Deficit-Neutral' as Obama promised. He will break almost every campaign promise if he implements this tax and spend program! Mash Here: http://www.newsmax.com/headlines/us_obama_tax_promise/2009/07/08/233374.html "We all remember what Obama promised on the campaign trail about raising taxes on only the wealthiest of us. Those of us that earn $200,000 or more per year. He also promised to cut federal budget deficits as well. It seems his promise to not tax the lower class has been broken already as Obama and his Democrat-controlled congress raised tobacco taxes 62 cents per pack of smokes, a tax which disproportianately affects the poor, because they smoke more. The poor are a group Democrats historically claim to be helping. If you like your cigarettes but hate the price, you can blame Democrats for that. They also passed on a surchage to tobacco companies that in addition to this tax adds even more to the price. All of this to fund free healthcare for the children of the poor. Many of those poor being illegal aliens. These expensive measures only took 4 million people out of the pool of those uninsured. If anyone thinks that Obama can pay for the healthcare of 46 million uninsured without raising taxes and widening his already record 1.8 trillion dollar deficit, another broken promise, must understand that the math isn't there to do it even if he raises taxes on only the wealthiest of us, as he promised during his campaign. He's been out there in the push for healthcare attempting to appeal to fiscally conservative instincts of the electorate saying that he plans on implementing Universal Care without increasing the deficit which is already way to large for the taste of most people. We have a Stimulus plan that cost us $700 billion already from Obama and it's done nothing to improve the economy. In fact, the economy is getting worse. Obama's estimated unemployment figures that he used to push the Stimulus package were way too optimistic. He basically lied. Obama promised us 'Shovel-Ready' projects and it seems the only thing 'Shovel-Ready' right now is Michael Jackson. Obama's healthcare plan, by his own figures is going to cost over $600 billion in the next decade. When Obama made the announcement of this cost, he completely left out his planned expansion of Medicaid, which is needed to bring him to his promised 97 percent insured rate in our nation. The Medicaid expansion will cost over $500 billion dollars. The total cost of Obamacare is planned by the Congressional Budget Office to cost more than 1.1 trillion dollars. That is One Thousand and 100 billion dollars and will likely go higher than that. When is the last time the government had any major program that went under budget?"
