She had completely forgot about wearing long sleeves after she changed her clothes after the food fight. She remembered now that it was Nick who started the fight. Whether he did it consciously or not, Nick just made this picnic work out in his favor. Great. It dawned on as they had started walking that the point of the short sleeves in the cold rain was to give a guy an excuse to hold the shivering girl. Even better. It was not such a horrible thing, this picnic idea. It would actually have been all really cute idea if she was in on it. But she didnt approve the idea of being a pawn in a game of matchmaker chess. Joe: C'mon! I see the perfect spot! They followed Joe to a grassy spot under a shady tree. Kevin helped him spread out the tablecloth and Nick and Shania unpacked the basket. As they started eating, Shania lost herself in the calm serenity of their happy mood. They only thing she didnt like was that the clouds soon came rolling in toward them. She let go of that last shred of hope she was holding onto for a sunny day. Kevin was right, but she hoped Joe was still a little against their scheme and would help her out. Its really too bad that it started to rain. They were having so much fun. At first, it was only sprinkling. A drop landed on Shanias cheek, christening her the first one to notice the rain had started. Shania: hey, I think it's starting to rain. Maybe we should head back to the bus, before we all get wet. Joe: Ah, that's no fun. Let's dance in the rain! Shania: Do we have to? She wasnt sure if this was part of the plan, or what, but she was eager to laugh some more with them either way. She just wasnt going to show it. It would kill her if the boys thought of her as an obsessed little fan.
