These salvos were some of the first to impact the deck. I'm aware that whoever was controlling these was all jacked up, but they were new to it, so it was expected. The cut in the land was around 750m away, or for the arty-versed, approximately danger close for the 5" HE salvos. If you listen to the radio, you can hear most of the transmission and corrections.
