Katy Perry and Beyonce had a big night at the MTV EMA show. We've got the whole lowdown. Hey guys-I'm Joslyn Davis and this is ClevverTV. Now some of you might be wondering what is the MTV EMA show. Well similar to the VMAs here in the states, MTV also hosts the Europe Music Awards (aka EMA's) on the other side of the pond each year, and this year the big show was held in the German city of Berlin. Katy Perry was not only a performer at the event, she was also tapped to host the night's festivities. But it was really Beyonce who stole the show. After performing her new single "Sweet Dreams," she won the awards for: Best Female, Best Song for "Halo," and Best Video for "Single Ladies." Miss B also sort of won another award by association since her hubby, Jay-Z, won in the category of Best Urban. Of course Lady Gaga kid get some attention, as she took away the award for Best New Act. Legendary group U2 won for Best Live act and even did a live gig in rememberance of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. German locals Tokio Hotel didn't go unnoticed either-they earned honors for best group. All in all, it was a great show-MTV never disappoints. And kudos to Katy Perry for her hosting skills-it was actually her second time around for the gig. And we're wondering if her current BF, Russel Brand, gave her any tips on hosting the big show?
