Title: Midnight Chap. 2 View count: 7047 Rating: 4.733333 (15 ratings) Description: *story here** I knoo, i take forever now to post but it takes me awhile to think of good ideas for this story soo dont give me crap please... *Kayla's POV* The drive to Forks was pretty quite, except for the light music playing softly from the radio, it was kind of awkward. Suddenly, breaking the silence, Dave took a deep breathe, "I got you a home coming present." My head whipped around, "Wh-what?" Dave smiled, "I got you a home coming present." I smiled, "You didn't have to Dav-dad." "I wanted to." He simply stated. I nodded, my face flushing red. Dave and I never really shared our actual feelings with each other, that was something we shared in common...we were quiet shy people. "What did you get me dad??" I asked really curious. He shook his head with a small smile, "I ain't telling you one thing." He said and I slumped down in my seat, glancing over to the clock...5:30am is what it read. I had to wake up early today, like SUPER early because sadly today is the day I'm starting at Forks High. I laid my head back against my seat and closed my eyes, maybe some sleep can help me. -cut scene- I was running through the woods, why? I had no idea. All I know is, James was behind me, how he survived that fire...I have no idea. I was scared and I need to run faster but me being only half vampire and him full vampire gave him an advantage. He gabbed my arm throwing me against a tree. I fell to the ground of the forest floor as he walked over to me, bending down and grabbing the hair on the nape of my neck, pulling my head back and leaning in to bite me. I sqeezed my eyes shut waiting for the sting from the venom to seep into my system, but instead a felt a burst of wind as someone flew by me grabbing ahold of James and throwing him away from me. My eyes shot open to see a curly haired boy about my age in front of me. I didn't know who he was or why he was protecting me but I was thankful. Then I closed my eyes again as the boy who saved me to a blow to the head and when I opened my eyes again, I was in Dave's crusier just comming into Forks. "You ok kido?" Dave asked as I turned to look at him. I stared at his anxious express and then gulped and nodded. "Yeah Dad, I'm fine." He nodded. After what seemed like forever, which was really 10 minutes, we were in front of the blue two story house that was my dad's home. There parked by the curb was an organge truck. I looked at it with confusion while Dave just smiled and looked at me. "That's your gift." I couldn't believe he got me a truck. "You got me a truck??" I asked excitedly. I mean, a truck was just my style, not too outta date but not too fancy either. He smiled at me and nodded. "I hope you like it." I got out of the cruiser and ran up to the truck. "Like it? I LOVE IT!" I screamed running my hand along the car. He smiled, "I'm glad." I ran over to him engulfing him in a hug. I was just too happy for words. "I-uh-I...your welcome." He said patting my back. I let go of him realizing how awkward this really was. "Um, thanks." I looked at my watch and gasped. "I gotta go!" I said realizing it was 6:30am. Dave handed me the keys to my truck as I grabbed my bag for school, then I ran over getting in the drivers side of my truck and taking off for school. I pulled into the parking lot of Forks High at exactly 7am, 30 minutes before school. I pulled into the parking lot and cut the engine, pulling my keys out of the ignition and getting out of the car. All eyes were on me because well, everyone knew the Cheif Of Police's daughter who had come here for 12 summers of her life and then just dissapeared. It was uncortable at the least, but I had no mind what the new day was going to bring me to in the near future... So a little different from Twilight now! =) Comment!!
