Title: Mercuiser 165 View count: 377 Rating: 5.0 (3 ratings) Description: With the help of the 2 Johns I rebuilt this 1977 vintage Mercruiser 165 inline 6 cylinder 250CID engine. I bought it from a boat which had been abandoned at a marina in Spring 2002 after the marina had rebuilt the 2 engines. Sadly, the boat filled up with rainwater and both engines were sitting in fresh water upto the dipstick hole. I replaced the gaskets, seals and all the damaged electricals, had it checked by the Johns and with their help got it running again.
