Yaaaaay. Looking at the score one can get an idea how difficult this role is, it is the most difficult role that Rossini ever wrote and it makes huges demands of its Diva, it needs a true soprano sfogato. Originally written for the great Isabella Colbran who had a huge range, from low G to high E. It is awe inspiring how young Maria not only overcomes the difficulties that Rossini wrote but she completely tosses them off like they are nothing and interpolates high D's, E-flats, takes a 2+ octave chromatic cadenza from middle C to high Db, etc...she is the definition of the ASSOLUTA soprano sfogato voice.
