Title: Little Bird Slide Cover of White Stripes View count: 2844 Rating: 4.14 (21 ratings) Description: NOTE: I also have a version with the Big Muff, for some nice growl. This is "Little Bird" from The White Stripes' second album. I play all of his slide songs in Open A, as Jack plays a lot in this tuning live. I'm not sure if the recorded version is in this tuning or not. Fret Positions for Main Riff: Open, 3, Open, 3-slide to-5, Open, 3-slide to 2, Open. Then, play third fret, high E string (G note) and open B-string (which is Csharp in this tuning) three times. Hold on 5 when you get to the end of the verse. [NOTE: The recorded version is a little different from what I play: Open, 3, Open, 5, Open, 3, Open, 3-slide to 2, Open.] Then Funky Riff... 7, 10, 7, 5, Open, 5, 3, 7, 3, Open, 3rd fret G-note/Csharp part again. Then, I just play a bunch of scratch moving from between 3, 2, and 5--as long as you end on 5 to go into the funky riff again, it will sound fine. After funky riff again, move back into the next verse. Break: 12, 10, 15, 14, 12 (brief Open) 12, 10, 15, 14, 12 (brief Open) 12, 10, 3, 5 Funky Riff Main Riff for Last Verse Final blues notes: High E: 5, 3, 2, Open CSharp: 3, Open, 3, 5, 6, Open Have fun! It's a good one. Tags: bird, cover, learn, little, play, stripes, to, white, Author: WonderLure42 |
