Title: Lency in Shanghai, China and a visit toTMSK View count: 79 Rating: 4.0 (1 ratings) Description: I just finished my first solo 5 day training in China. It was a triumphant success, although it was a tough group mind to crack. About half of the people there were first-timers - business men who were only there because their boss had sent them. In many ways it was amazing how well they did. One guy, about half my size, had a very big day five. The night before he had asked me to talk about what he could do about his 11 year old son being out of control. I explained how human beings are pack animals, like dogs, and how a family group can only be happy when there is at least one strong alpha parent. When the child (or the family dog, for that matter!) ends up in the alpha position, the one in charge, the child is out of control, fearful and unhappy, because they don't have the life experience or ability to make intelligent decisions as the alpha. And every one else is miserable because the one in charge is an indulgent tyrant who makes everyone suffer. In China, with their "one child" policy, it is common for the only child to be indulged, spoiled and in control. I gave him some instructions on how to not tolerate misbehavior, and he was very grateful. In the last section of the seminar, I did the Face of Buddha/Face of Christ exercise, in which we remember that, even if we can not see all of who a person is, we can remember their perfection, and in looking for it, see their true self looking out their eyes. The group of 60 did surprisingly well with the exercise, with even those that were the hardest to reach getting the miracle. The last was the little guy, who had been releasing emotion from the first words I spoke. When I asked him to look in my eyes, and the miracle flooded into his mind, he was so excited that he had to hug not only me, but every person in the room. :) The ending was blissful, and everyone was excited about coming back together next year. Afterwards, my angel, Bessie, who went to university in the UK, took me out on the town, because I hadn't left the hotel grounds since I had arrived. She got us a table at TMSK, rhw most exotic place imaginable - very dark, so that the glass art you could see everywhere came alive, like a temple of light. The music, played by the TMSK Ensemble, was trance dance like, haunting and beautiful. And the food was as delicious as it was gorgeous.
