I will soon be done with disc 3, so this is my last chance to get this. And now that I have access to the overhead entrance, it's very simple to get. I need to teach the current party members some abilities, a few that are rather AP expensive. Zidane needs Auto-Life, Freya needs Auto-Reflect, Garnet needs Auto-Float (and Shiva, but I might not use Shiva, we'll see) and Steiner needs Charge!. That leaves quite a few items slots open, and I will be making the most of the AP I am about to get. So while I'm where I am, I can encounter Rainbow Garuda for 40 AP. I set everyone up like so: Zidane: Exploda, Red Hat, Egoist's Armlet, Power Vest, Rebirth Ring Garnet: Healing Rod, Golden Hairpin, -, Surivial Vest, Opal Steiner: Coral Sword, Barbut, Venetia Shield, Plate Mail, Lapis Lazuli Freya: Obelisk, Diamond Helm, Thunder Gloves, Linen Cuirass, Reflect Ring And everyone gets Ability Up. I equip Steiner with the Lapis Lazuli first so that I don't have to reactivate his Ability Up. For the price of a replaceable Lapis Lazuli, I get 40 AP, which gets doubled. Zidane masters Sacrifice, Lucky Seven, MP Attack, Level Up, Stone Killer, Gamble Defense and Counter. Garnet masters Healer, Cura, Auto-Regen, Loudmouth, Locomotion and Shiva. Steiner masters Charge!, Alert, Auto-Float, Locomotion, Undead Killer, Ability Up and Accuracy+. Freya masters Cherry Blossom, Accuracy+, Devil Killer, Add Status, Cover and Auto-Reflect. That still leaves a few of the abilities I need still not learned. The guide suggest to find the Green Nymph near the Iifa Tree. But I could also find Green Feather Circle near Esto Gaza, and I'd be right by the Shimmering Island as well. I change equipment like so: Zidane: Zorlin Shape, Golden Hairpin, Chimera Armlet, Mythril Vest, Rebirth Ring Garnet: Magic Racket, Lamia's Tiara, Egoist's Armlet, Gaia Gear, Feather Boots Steiner: Rune Blade, Iron Helm, Mythril Gloves, Gold Armor, Power Belt Freya: Obelisk, Gold Helm, Venetia Shield, Gold Armor, Diamond I have to give up a Moonstone for this one, but I'll get one from Purple Jabberwock later to replace it. For that I get 30 AP, which gets doubled. Zidane masters Auto-Regen, Mug, Auto-Potion and Auto-Life. Garnet masters Berserk, Mini, Confuse, Level Up, High Tide and Auto-Float. Steiner masters Iai Strike, Bright Eyes, Level Up, Bug Killer, Stone Killer, MP Attack and Counter. Freya masters Initiative, Rei's Wind, Clear Headed, Auto-Float, Stone Killer and Body Temp. Now I'm set as far as abilities. Finally, I give Zidane the Running Shoes, and activate his Auto-Haste, Steiner's Alert and Freya's Initiative. This will make all subsequent random battles go fast if not as fast as possible.
