PART 2 Priest- Do you Jennifer Spalding take Ryan Lovato to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, until death do you part? Jen- (tears in her eyes) I do. Priest- And do you Ryan Lovato take Jennifer Spalding to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold, in sickness and in health until death do you part? Ryan- I do. Priest- As long as there are no objections, I know pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride. (they kiss) I would like to present to you for the second time, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Lovato. *They walk up the beach and stand greeting and thanking people for coming to the ceremony. They go and wait for the beach to be set up for the reception. The Jonas Brothers go into one of the pavilions and rehearse the set that Jen and Ryan requested they play. Demi is preparing to read the speech that she wrote. The beach is now ready for them to start the reception.* D- (clinking her glass with a fork) If I could have everyones attention. So I was told I had to write a speech for this. Here goes nothing, my parents are everything to me. They taught me everything I know. About 3 years ago, my dad left. He started working a lot and he was never home with mom and I. I figured he was gone for good when we moved from Connecticut out to California. I came here and made friends, Selena and Joe, who also became like second children to my mother. Our life was already looking up. One afternoon, I answered the doorbell to find this guy, my dad, standing there begging for our forgiveness. It really felt too good to be true. We started acting like a family again: hanging out, even going to see my boyfriends concert. On Valentines Day, my dad proposed to my mom and she said Yes. My life couldnt be anymore picture perfect. I have a great family and the wonderful love of my parents. I hope their love and this marriage lasts through the ages and beyond. I love you both very much. (Her parents come over and kiss her as Jen wipes tears out of her eyes.) Jen- Wed now like to introduce 3 boys who have become a part of our family. Joe, Nick and Kevin better known as The Jonas Brothers. *They run out onto the stage set up on the beach.* J- Hey guys. When Jen and Ryan asked us to be in their wedding, we were ecstatic. When they asked us to perform at their wedding, we were nervous but also floored that they would think of us. When they asked us to sing an original song called Turn Right as their first dance, we felt honored. So here it is everybody, Turn Right. (they sing and Ryan and Jen share their first danceagain.) N- Next wed like to sing a song that we wrote especially for 3 girls out there all of whom you know. This song is called When You Look Me In The Eyes (they sing the song and continue with Please Be Mine and other love songs.) *As the Jonas Brothers break into more upbeat songs, they cut the cake and take many pictures. At the end of the night everyone is tired from dancing and all the work that went into the wedding.* Jen- (to the Jonas Brothers, hugging all of them) Thank you so much. You made our day so much more special. J- It was our pleasure. Having you guys around is awesome and doing this for you is just a little way we can repay you for keeping the house open to us. (laughing) D- (hands them a DVD) This is from everyone in your wedding party. Selena, Ashley, and I made it for you guys to remember this day. The guys sang on it. Ryan- (hugs all of them) Thank you so much. We love you all. NOTE: The DVD is of pictures and videos of Ryan and Jen set to the music of Turn Right.
