Title: "Juno" wins best film at Rome Festival View count: 2819 Rating: 5.00 (8 ratings) Description: Hello, it's Monday, October 29, 2007. I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update. The independent movie "Juno" grabbed the top prize at the Rome Film Festival over the weekend. It was named best film at the annual event in the Italian city. "Juno's" directed by Jason Reitman and stars Ellen Page, Jennifer Garner and Michael Cera. The movie's about a teen looking for adoptive parents for her baby. The film is set to open in the U.S. in December. It was an all-star lineup at last night's annual Bridge School Benefit in California. Neil Young organizes the annual event which raises money for children with physical and speech impairments. Young took the stage with Jerry Lee Lewis this year. John Mayer performed as well as Metallica. Tom Waits and My Morning Jacket were also in the lineup. Don Cheadle is bringing attention to the genocide in Darfur. In the actor's most recent effort against violence in the region...he made a documentary called "Darfur Now." The film follows Cheadle on a diplomatic trip to China while also outlining the violence in the Sudanese area. It is set for a release this Friday. The actor says he hopes it will prompt U.S. citizens to take action and encourage change in Darfur. The most recent film in the "Saw" series cut its way to the top of U.S. box offices over the weekend. Saw IV grabbed the number one spot bringing in more than 32 million dollars in ticket sales. Steve Carrell's new film "Dan in Real Life" took the second spot. And in the third spot is "30 Days of Night" starring Josh Hartnett and Melissa George. A swarm of stars buzzed their way down a yellow and black carpet for the premiere of a new animated film. Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica attended the premiere of his new comedy "Bee Movie" in Los Angeles last night. The comedian wrote the movie and stars in it. It's about one bee's adventures after graduating college. The film also stars Renee Zellweger, Matthew Broderick and Chris Rock. It opens in most U.S. theaters this Friday. That's all for now.
