"Goodmorning class," teacher chirped, "today we have a popquiz!" Everyone groaned. She passed out the test, and I finished mine first, and handed it in. As I walked to the front of the room people started coughing. "Cough*nerd*cough" "Cough*Loser*Cough" I felt my cheeks burn, and I knew my eyes would start watering any second, so I excused myself from class. I don't understand, why is there something wrong with being smart? I walked towards the water fountain, and heard the familiar slam as my body crashed into the lockers. I turned, expecting to see Joe, but no, it was Zac. "Hi loser."Atleast faggot wasn't catching on. I turned and started walking away, only to slam into the lockers again. "Where do you think you're going, I want to have some fun." He held me against the locker, his hands grabbing my collar. "Away from you." Why do I even try to be brave? "Oh, we have a smartmouth here don't we, well you won't be smart when I knock you into a coma." He drew his fist back, I closed my eyes, waiting to feel it slam into my face. "Hey, he's mine Zac." I peaked my eyes open, to see Joe with his hand on Zacs shoulder. Zac looked at me one more time, then pushed me to the floor. He stormed off. Joe reached out his hand and pulled me up. I wrapped my arms around him, hugged him. He tensed up immediately, before peeling me off him. "Thanks" I mumbled. "Just because I fuck you doesn't mean others can." I started smiling, did I hear that right? "What are you smiling at?" He squinted at me. "You said just because I fuck you doesn't mean others can." I saw a faint blush appear on his cheeks. He slammed me into the locker and got real close. "I meant just because I fuck with you doesn't mean others can. Faggot." He glared at and walked off. My back was starting to hurt from connecting with the locker so often, but it was worth it, just to feel him touch me. I know, lame, I am practically inlove with the guy who bullies me. I watched him walk away, and I didn't see him till the end of the day. At my lunch. I walked into the cafeteria, prepared to sit alone in the corner. But someone grabbed my shirt, and dragged me to a table, I was hoping to see Joe's face, but it was Karlee, the pretty girl from the lockers. "You look disappointed to see me, were you expecting someone else?" she quized me. "No, well I thought it was Joe." "JoeJackassJonas, the jerk?"I nodded. We sat at a table, and I saw a bunch of girls already sitting there. "Nick, this is Miley, Selena, and Carder." they all smiled at me, I smiled back. "You're gay." I looked at Karlee. "I beg your pardon." She laughed. "You're gay, first of all, you haven't hit on us, and second, you wanted Joe to grab your shirt, you like him!" I blushed. "Maybe a little." I mumbled. Miley looked at me. "Sorry to burst your bubble, but Joe is full on straight, he hooks up with all the girls, and he's dating that gorgeous girl." "Olivia?" I asked. "Oh my god, you've talked to her! She is so pretty, and so smart! How did you talk to her!" she exclaimed. "Her lockers beside mine, she's really nice. Are you a lesbian?" Miley just nodded. Selena turned to me. "Even a guy as hot as you can't turn Joe gay, he's an ass man, a female ass man." Well they officially burst my bubble. At least i'm hot though, right? I didn't see Joe again till the end of the day, at his car. I walked out to see his arm around Olivia, he was laughing, he actually looked happy. His smiles faded as soon as he saw me. "Hey new kid." Olivia smiled at me. "My name is N-" Joe interrupted me. "Lets just get going, school is over lets get the fuck out of here." He opened the door for Olivia, and I got into the back. I was lost in my own thoughts, I so desperately wanted Joe to be gay, I so desperately wanted him to like me. But he is an asshole. He's everything you wouldn't want in a boyfriend, why did I like him so much? Olivia was chattering away in the front, I didn't even hear her talk to me. "So new kid, do you like the school? Hello, helloooo, new kid!" I snapped out of it. "Uh ya, I guess its okay." "Is everybody treating you alright?" I looked at Joe, I saw his cheeks flame. "It could be better, but i've dealt with worse." Joe's eyes flicked to mine in the rearview mirror, they locked, but he looked away after a second. It was almost like a I saw regret.
