Formerly the California AIDS ride, this seven day 585-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles is one of the many ways the LGBT community bands together in its commitment for change. This year, almost 2000 people joined the cycle to help raise $8 million which will benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. The second highest total was brought in by the star of here!'s Original Donald Strachey Mystery Series, Chad Allen. A rookie rider, Chad raised more than $25,000 for this important cause which is close to his heart. Every rider came with their own unique mission, but each story can be traced to one united cause which is to keep up the fight and end AIDS now.
