Title: Help Me Get to Davos View count: 12194 Rating: 4.981383 (752 ratings) Description: UPDATE: I was *not* chosen to go to Davos. Thanks to everyone who helped make this THE MOST DEMOCRATICALLY SUPPORTED ENTRY about Davos and the World Economic Forum. --------------------- Help Me Get to Davos: About one-third of the evaluation of each submission is based on the response from the YouTube community. So every positive rating, comment, and view brings me one step closer to being the guy they pick to go to Davos. [EDIT: Although this was in the rules, the submission that was ultimately chosen as the winner had little or no support from the YouTube community.] Given my experience doing this project, I'd like to think I'd be a great representative of the YouTube community at the World Economic Forum. And, if I can make videos from rural Bangladesh doing the same from Switzerland should be a piece of cake :) Quick Summary for the Davos Committee: Can An Obama Administration Improve the State of the World in 2009? Yes, but he can't do it alone. We live in a community of nations and the United States is but one part of it. We will need support from European leaders, leaders from Russia, China, and (most importantly) the developing world. Because improving the world means addressing global poverty. Failure to do so will create bigger problems that we will just have to deal with down the road. Music Used is a custom version of "Dropping Out of School" by Brad Sucks (used with permission). This video will forever be known to me as the video that caused me to miss watching the inauguration live so that I could get this done by the 11:59 PM CET deadline. :P P.P.S. Thanks to everyone who subscribed. You've made this THE most popular channel on YouTube on the issue of global poverty. More than any charity or even Bono and The ONE Campaign. P.P.P.S. I uploaded a 3:00 video, and YouTube first said it was 3:00. Then it changed it to 3:01 and I dunno why.
