Title: GTC's first performance ever! View count: 6 Rating: 0 (0 ratings) Description: TIME FOR A HISTORY LESSON. Summer 2006. We're bored in Towns. We decide we will go put together a skit and randomly appear in places in Towns (in 2006 you had a lot more people just chilling in Towns and not like... cybering) and perform for people and see how they'd react. We dressed up our mule accounts and rehearsed this bit from Phantom of the Opera. This guy was our first audience member. I don't remember how, somehow we invited him back to our rehearsal spot in Towns and he watched us. He loved it. After that, we took the show on the road, scouting out promising groups of people to go appear and ask to perform for, and it went on nightly for a while. Almost everyone thought what we were doing was funny and awesome. We were baffled, I think -- we didn't expect something so overwhelmingly positive. Soon we made a thread and word got around and people wanted to know where they could come see us, and we figured out that there was plenty of interest to recruit people to play more roles and do bigger skits. From this, The Gaian Theatre Company was born.
