Title: forgive me (atonement) View count: 386 Rating: 5.0 (9 ratings) Description: I had a hard time editing this video, mainly because I decided it was about time I learnt to use (awfully) some of Sony Vegas' exclusive effects. It's not as easy as it seems! But, apart from that, I DID enjoy editing this, mainly because I was trying to convey a concept that, to my mind, is essential in Atonement: the power of words. We have Robbie`s letter, Briony's "crime" (I saw him), Robbie and Cee's letters, and, most importantly, Briony trying to redeem herself, to ATONE through words, through a novel. Plus, Briony is sick with vascular dementia, which means she will eventually lose words. I think I succeeded, partially. And in a way, both the book and the movie (but mainly the book) offer a reflection on the nature of happy endings. This reflection on happy endings can be connected with the HEALING power of words, with Briony's novel happy ending. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. The song is Ariel by October Project.
