Title: Erik Cole Tape Job - Rate of wear View count: 5454 Rating: 2.6 (5 ratings) Description: Hi all. If Anyone is interested in the "Erik Cole Tape Job" and wants to know how fast it will chew up your blade, here's a video. I've used this particular tape job for quite some time, and I have used the stick even longer. After about 5 or 6 games, the rate of wear on the bottom of the stick is pretty much the same as if you taped it Heel to Toe or Toe to Heel. The only damage was from a one handed chip off the boards and I took a piece of shin pad tape and melted it on to the toe of the blade. The stick I'm using is a CCM U+ Left Handed Lecavalier pattern. Normal (around 85) flex. I have had a very good experience with this stick and would highly reccomend the CCM U+ stick as well as the Erik Cole tape job. The difference in friction is immediate and it takes very little time to get used to, i.e 2 or 3 minutes. It will obviously wear your blade down, but as you can see in this video, after 5 or 6 games, the stick is still in great condition. I also use a Warrior Dolomite and will see how this fares as well with the Erik Cole tape job.
