Title: Eastern Religions Youth Interfaith Conference 2008 View count: 253 Rating: 5.00 (1 ratings) Description: A few clips from a Youth interfaith conference featuring Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and Indigenous Youth Reflections on the SPIRIT OF SERVICE A dialogue between the young people from various faiths and traditions, including Abrahamic faiths. In addition to the wider community, present will be guests from the Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and Indigenous Australian communities to discuss the Spirit of Service, looking at the concepts and links between spirituality and service to the community. Through dialogue and understanding of each others' faiths, this is an excellent opportunity to view and even take part in interfaith dialogue in action, and build friendships that shall further develop a culture of peace. With Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural Affairs, the Hon Laurie Ferguson MP, opening the conference; as well as keynote Indigenous speaker, Shane Phillips from Tribal Warrior; interfaith representatives and entertainment from each faith tradition.
