I slowly lifted myself out of my wheelchair and into a chair. *Hi.* He said, staring at me. *Hi,* I whispered. *Uhm, so . . . do you really not remember anything?* I asked. *Well, I now know that my name is Joe, and yours is Demi. Oh! And that we're in a hospital because I just woke up from a coma.* He smiled warmly. *Anything else?* I stared intently at him. He shook his head. *No.* My eyes filled with tears. *I'm sorry.* He said. *Can you tell me about myself? Or about you? I feel as though I need to know.* *Sure.* I wiped away my tears and smiled. *And don't apologize, it's not your fault.* I explained to him about me running away from home, my cancer, and us meeting in England. I told him about the car crash, Selena, Miley, kennedy and Kevin. I talked on and on, while paying close attention to Joe. It seemed as though he was watching my every move, trying so hard to remember. *And you gave me this.* I held out my left hand. Joe walked over to me, to look at my hand. *We're married?* I laughed. *No. I'm only 16, and you're 18. But it is a promise ring.* *How did I get so lucky?* He smiled. *I don't know you, but I have a strong feeling I did, once.* *Oh trust me.* I assured him. *You did.* I couldn't keep the smile off of my face; until the loud screaming managed to do it. *Kennedy!* I shouted.
