Ebony fretboard and tail piece and a maple star inlay at the 5th fret. Peghead overlay is walnut. Peghed mechanical tuners are so smooth and work so well with the 19th Century look of the banjo. I have to say, this one, for what ever reason, sounds really good - better than most of my tackhead banjos. I wish I knew why.
