Her mother abonded her at birth (she has a tendency to do that) so her father had to raise her by himself. Her father was only 19 so he didnt know much so he gave Sayuki to her aunt. Her aunt raised her untill sayuki turned 10 then she died mysteriously. From then on Sayuki lived on her own. One day Genji (her brother) asked sayuki to come on a mission with him she refused because she had something else to do. Unfortunantly that was the mission that genji lost his memory in. After she herd that he lost his memory Sayuki blamed herslef she thought that if she would have gone with him she could have saved him.
