Seven months pregnant with her first child, she decided to write a Christmas song... about a baby (blame the hormones for that!). After a few inspired hours, there was a catchy melody... but no good enought text. Untill she decided to turn it into a good ol' love song. There it was: 'Christmas Baby' was born in no time! She and her producer started working on the song. They added some horns, some bells and some soul... and they were very pleased with what came out. A warm, soulful catchy song that makes you feel all Christmassy to the bone! In the meantime Billie's daughter Nora was born. Only a few months old, she took Nora with her to the studio. When singing the background choirs for the song, Nora was mostly peaceful and quiet - except for one time. But this happy squeal seemed to fit in so naturally, that they decided to leave it in!
