I didnt want to wake him up, so I layed back down. I checked my phone. 4 missed calls 5 text messages. They were ALL from Joe. They all said the same thing: Hey Lo, r u ok? U sounded upset when I got off the phone with you. I laughed. No Im not ok. What the hell do you think Joe? He led me on and made me believe he might have actually felt the same way about me. I guess I was wrong. Im so stupid. About a half hour later Ethan woke up. "Good morning." His groggy voice said, and he smiled. I laughed, "Good morning Ethan." "What are you planning on doing today sweetie?" he said, getting up. "Um, I was gonna go down to Starbucks, and think." I said, getting up after him. "Are you going alone?" he said. "Yea, but I was gonna call Raven. Do you want to go with us?" I asked. "Sure. Let me run home. I gotta tell my mom everything. Ill meet you there." He said, walking out of my room. I picked up my cell phone, and called Raven. I told her about the kiss, but I waited for the other news to be for Starbucks. I pulled on some sweats and walked downstairs, iPod in my ears, and cell phone in my pocket. My cell phone started to vibrate, and I figured it was Ethan telling me when he was gonna meet us at Starbucks. "Hello?" I answered my phone. "Hey Lauren, its Kevin." Came the comforting voice. "Hey Kevin!" I said, and smiled real big. "So Im sure you have heard about Joe and AJ?" He sighed. "Yea, I did" I trailed off. "Im sorry, are you ok?" he sounded concerned. "No not really Kevin. I really liked Joe, and he made me think that he liked me back. He led me on and made me feel like complete crap in the end, so no, Im not ok." I said. "Im so sorry Lauren. I had no idea you liked Joe. I would have done something. I might have been able to stop him." Kevin sounded mad at himself. "Its not your fault Kev. Hows the road?" I asked, getting a little bit more happy. "Um, its good. Not as good as being home with you and the rest of our friends, but its good. Still getting used to some things, like sleeping." He laughed. "Hey Kevin, Im about to go to Starbucks with Ethan and Raven. Can you call me back later when you arent busy?" I asked. "Yeah sure no problem." He said. "Ok bye Kevin." I smiled and hung up the phone. I walked out of my house, and down the street to Starbucks. My iPod was blaring. I started crying. I thought about my feelings for Ethan. I really liked him after that kiss. I dont know what it was. Maybe the kiss made me realize that I maybe have something good right next to me. Maybe, I dont need Joe. When I got to starbucks, Raven was waiting outside with Ethan. My two best friends being right there for me gave me a comforting feeling. We walked into Starbucks and ordered. I got what I always order, a Strawberry frap. We sat at the table and discussed the Joe situation. "So what are you going to do?" Raven asked. "You know, I was planning on getting a boyfriend to make him mad. Because when he gets back he expects everything to be the same." I grinned. "You know, I could help you." Ethan smiled, and rested his hand on my knee under the table. "How?" I said, taking a sip of my frap. "I could be your boyfriend." He said, and squeezed my knee. "Thats a really good idea!" Raven smiled. I knew what she was thinking about. She was thinking about the kiss. I dont know Ethan I teased him. I knew I wanted to do it. It was an amazing plan that was sure to work. "Aw come on Lopo, you know you want to." He smiled at me. I couldnt resist. That curly hair, that cute smile, and that tan skin got me. "Oh ok." I smiled, then took another sip of my frap. When I got home I picked up my phone and called Joe, but someone else answered the phone. "Hello?" said the girls voice on the other end of the phone. "Um hi is Joe there? Its Lauren." I asked, feeling myself get upset. "Um yea hold on. JOE LAURENS ON THE PHONE FOR YOU!" she screamed to him. "Ok AJ hold on." I heard him in the backround. So thats who it was. My sadness turned into anger. I sat on the phone for 2 more minutes before Joe finally got his phone. "Hey Lauren." I heard his voice, and got even more mad. "Hi Joe. I have to tell you something too." I starting grinning. I was feeling the sweetness of revenge knawing at my insides. What is it hun?" He said, kinda sounding worried. "I have a boyfriend. You know Ethan. Hes one of our good friends." I said, smiling. "Oh. Thats good. Ill talk to you later. Im kinda going somewhere right now." He sighed. "Yea bye Joe."
