We just got off stage and we are pumped. Nick is swinging his towel around over his head, Joe is smiling so hard I think his face is going to be permanantly happy, and Kevin is just crazy. When we got to our dressing room, my mood did a complete three-sixty. As my brothers plopped down beside their girlfriends on the couch, I got a text. I glanced at it just as David wrapped his arms around my waist. "You looked sexy tonight, babe. Can't wait to see you later," it read. I stiffened, and David noticed. He must have read the message over my shoulder, because the next second his arms weren't around my waist. The door to the dressing room slammed shut, and tears filled my eyes. "What's wrong with David?" Danielle asked. "Sissy?" Nick asked. I burst into tears and ran from the room. My brothers were yelling after me, but I ignored them. I knew who it was that texted me; Josh. But David thought I was cheating on him. My tears were streaming down my face when a hand caught my arm. I tried to yank it away, but it didn't work. I turned toward my holder, and my tears stopped. Anger flooded through me at the sight of him. "Get my message sexy?" he asked, running his free hand up and down my arm. "Yeah I got it asshole," I replied. I don't care if Kevin heard me. Josh slammed me to the ground. The breath was knocked out of me. Then his hand, not open but closed fist, came in contact with my face. A pain erupted in my jaw from where it came into contact. "Don't you ever cuss at me you slut, got that?" he threatened. I didn't move causing him to punch my stomach. I began to cough, trying to get air into my lungs and the sickly feeling out of my torso. I heard a light sound coming from far down the hall. "I said, got that?" he repeated. I took a big breath of air, opened my mouth... "JOEY!!!!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Josh slapped me. Then he put his lips on mine, and rolled me on top of him. He was trying to make it look like I was kissing him. I tried to get away from his disgusting mouth, but he had one arm around my waist, hugging me to him. Frantic running was coming down the hall. Then it halted in its tracks. "NICOLE JEANETTE JONAS!" Kevin roared. Josh broke away then, and pushed me off of him. I got to my feet and saw that my brothers were looking really angry. "She came on to me, and I'm gonna go now," Josh said. My brothers just let him go without a mere glance at him. They were glaring at me. Selena, Demi, and Dani were watching from just behind them. I looked up at them with fear in my eyes. Were they really mad at me? When we heard the door down the hall slam, Nick rushed forward and pulled me into his arms. He held me as close as possible to his chest and kissed the top of my head. I relaxed into his embrace. I had believed they were mad at me. "Sissy, come on. We need to check your stomach," Nick whispered. I nodded, and we all walked back to our dressing room. Nick sat me on the couch and the three of them kneeled in front of me. Joey carefully pulled up the hem of my shirt, trying not to touch my forming bruise. I winced anyway, because it hurt like heck. "Dani, can you get some pain killers please?" Kevin asked. Dani stood at once and went over to the bag of medicine we carried. "Demz, can you get an ice pack?" Joe asked, looking away from my stomach to glance at his girlfriend. Demi nodded, and left the room in search of some ice. Nick looked away from my stomach and up to my jaw. He rubbed his finger over where Josh had punched me, causing me to flinch. He immediately began to apologize, which I waved off. That night I slept on top of Nick, his arms wrapped around me and my head on his chest. He sang me to sleep, and I was actually able to sleep without a nightmare.
