Chapter 9 Nick was walking down the hall after leaving the nurse's office. He had to get out of there. if he stayed there any longer he might have tackled Lana to the ground kissing her and hurt her even worse. What was he thinking? Was he feeling...sorry for her? He twitched. That wasn't like him, He NEVER got nervous around a girl! NEVER! "Just put this incident behind you Nick. She was hurt, you didn't want to hurt her any farther!" he tried to calm himself. " Next time you see her, you can go back to being the perverted stalker you are!" He went outside to have a smoke and calm down. 5 minutes later he is calmed down and back to his usual self. "ok, i'll get her to go out with me next time I see her!" He smiled as he thought about what he would do and walked to class. Back in the nurse's office, Lana is still confused. "What just happened? He looked like he wanted to tackle me or something, then he just...left?" she thought to herself. "ohh, but his eyes were so GORGEOUS!" She got lost in thought until the nurse came back in and told her she could leave. *Remember where i left you with Catelyn and Joe?* "I bet you can't go one week without being an inconsiderate jerk!" She yelled at him. He thought about it for a while, then smiled a sly smile at her. "I like a challenge! deal!" he said. "wait! there are rules!" Catelyn shot at him. "To win, you cant smoke, drink, to drugs, treat girls badly, or have sex. AND you have to pay attention in all your classes and actually fo your homework!" she said with a smirk, knowing he wouldn't be able to do it. Joe's smile was gone. "NO GIRLS FOR A WHOLE WEEK? ARE YOU INSANE?" Catelyn was pleased she had actually gotten him nervous. "Or, you can not take the bet and I'll tell everyone you turned down a bet!" she grinned. He couldn't let that happen! She was bringing his reputation into play! "Fine! this bet is gonna be a piece of cake!" he laughed. "OK, if I win, you have to stop pursuing me and leave me alone! And I tell the school you couldn't get with every girl in the school!" he stared at her for a while. "DEAL!! But, what do I get if I win?" he asked her. Her smile was gone. She hadn't thought about what he would get if he actually won. She knew he wouldn't win, so she figured she would tease him with something he really wanted so she could rub it in his face later. "If you win, which I doubt will happen, I will go on that date with you and I will be your girlfriend and let everyone know it!" She said with an air of certainty knowing it wouldn't happen. At this, Joe's face lit up and his smile got really wide. "DEAL DEAL DEAL DEAL DEAL!" he shouted so it echoed down the hall. "So when does this bet start?" Joe asked anxiously. "ok, it starts today, after the last bell, and goes until next Friday when the last bell rings." catelyn said. "ok deal!" Joe said again. Catelyn turned around to walk away, but he grabbed her arm. " Wait, one more thing! Joe smiled. "What?" she asked confused. "oh we have to shake on it!" she remembered. she held out her hand,and he grabbed it, but didn't shake it. "I don't shake on deals." he said. Before she knew it, he'd pulled her arm and she was pulled into his chest. He put one hand on her waist, the other on the back of her head and kissed her. He was playing with her hair and it was a good 2-3 minutes before he pulled away, still holding her waist. She was about to yell at him, but, to Joe's surprise, she smiled. "All right! i'll give you that one because it's the only one you're gonna get!" she said. "well, if it's the only one I'm gonna get you could at least kiss me back!" he smirked. She thought it over and realized he had a good point. He was standing there watching her, when all of a sudden she turned around and pushed him back into the lockers behind them. She put her hands on his chest and kissed him passionately. Joe put his hand on her head and his other hand up the back of her shirt and kissed her back. It was the absolute best kiss of Joe's life! About 4 minutes later, Catelyn finally pulled away breathing heavily, but still had him against the lockers. "Wow!" that was all Joe could manage to say between long, deep breaths. "I..cannot wait.. to win this... bet and ....go on...that date...with...you!" He finally got out. Catelyn smiled and took her hands of his chest and he removed his hands from her. She was still smiling as she left him there and walked back to History, leaving Joe standing in the middle of the hallway, his knees weak and his heart racing, in a complete state of shock. WHOOH!!!! A BET? IS JOE GONNA WIN THIS BET? IS NICK GETTING A NICE SIDE? WHAT ABOUT MIRANDA? IS LANA GONNA CAUSE A PROBLEM?
