Description: Broken Promises Ch 13 I woke up to my phone buzzing in my pocket. It was dark almost pitch black. I looked at the screen 'One Missed Call, Kiana' I touched the screen to check it and deleted it.{ AN: The Voyager. The phone from Verizon.} I opened it up to the keypad and text her, 'hey y'd u call??'. I closed my phone and waited for a response. I looked over at Nick who was still asleep. Awww, he was so cute. My phone vibrated. 'u know it's 7:45 u've been gone 4 da whole day. Where r u??'. 'Im somewhere. We'll b back in a bit. Bye' I closed my phone again. I t was really starting to get dark, I could barely see Nick. " Nick, wake up." I shook him. " Not now" He rolled over onto his side. " Nick come on wake up its getting dark" I shook him again. No answer just a soft, faint snore. I sighed " Nick." It was dark now I couldn't even see him. I pulled out my phone for some light. I shined it on him. I kissed his cheek. " Get up. Now" still no response. " Ugh! Nick get up now!' I pushed him and stood up. " Im up, Im up" He said as I shined the light in his eyes. " Come on lets go" I said helping him up. " What time is it?". "Almost 8 lets go" I started pulling him. He pulled away " Whats the rush for?". " I don't want to be in the woods right now. Its really creepy". I said while using the light from my phone to look around. I swore I saw something move quickly through the trees. I jumped and dropped my phone. Nick picked it up. " Ok. Lets go," he put his arm around me "and relax, we're fine." " He says right before a bear eats them" I said sarcastically. " Don't jinx it. You never know what may happen". " B-but you said we would be fine" I said getting freaked out. " Im joking. Lets go." He said with a laugh. " Nick this no time to be joking around and its not funny" I said as we found our way back to the bush. "Ladies first" Nick said. I went through and he followed. Oh boy was it darker there than at the lake. I searched for Nick and grabbed his arm, not his hand his arm. He pulled his arm from my grasp and wrapped it around me. He used my phone for light while I wrapped my arms around him. I felt so safe with him, like nothing would or could tear us apart.... again. We made back to the house 'round 9 and everyone was asleep on the couch. They were watching some really boring old movie. I turned the tv off. I turned around and bumped into Nick, " Sorry. Um I guess you're sleeping over tonight. There's 3 rooms you can stay in, My room, My sisters room or the guest bedroom." Without hesitation " Your room." " Ok. You can have my bed. I'll have the pull out futon." " No you can have your bed I'll take the futon" " You're the guest take the bed." The argument continued till I pulled out the futon and Nick jumped on it. I sighed and shook my head "Your impossible" I gave him a pillow and some blankets. " Night" I said while rolling over on my right side. The side not facing Nick. " Night" I woke up at 4:30 in the morning for no particular reason. I looked at the clock and sighed in frustration. I laid there for about 10 minutes before I rolled over to look at Nick. I could see the outline of him but not him. I got up and sat at my desk. I opened my laptop and to go on you tube, it was the main thing I did if I ever woke up in the middle of the night. But when I opened my laptop I forgot that the volume was up and then computer made a loud ding. I heard Nick move around a little then sit up. " What (yawn} What are you doing up at 4: 40 in the morning?" He asked really tired. " I don't know. But go back to sleep" He didn't listen. He got up and stood over my shoulder. He wanted to see what i did when i was all alone. After about 20 minutes, I shut my laptop and sat on my bed. I couldn't go back to sleep and apparently neither could Nick cause he sat right next to me. I broke the silence after 5 minutes. " Nick why don't you go back to sleep?", " I cant. I'm not tired", "Ok, um.... Wanna watch a movie", "Sure. Your pick", " Drillbit Taylor?", "Ok". I got up and put the movie on. I ended up falling asleep about 15 minutes into the movie. Sorry took so long kept getting distracted.
