Some people find themselves when they go through the experimentation of college or grad school. Some people never find themselves at all or ever know what they truly are supposed to do with their lives. But in Brian's case, he always knew. And he risks everything to realize his dream of being an international pop superstar that leads him on a journey right back to himself. ----------- This Episode Title: "OH, CANADA! OH, FATHER!" Set-up: For the very first time we see Brian prepare for his biggest performance yet! He is to perform for the SPECIAL OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONIES for the SUMMER GAMES in WINDSOR, ONTARIO, CANADA in a massive hockey stadium for an audience of 6,000 PLUS people! We follow Brian, from start to finish, through a series of personal struggles he must face alone -- in trying to build his career in BECOMING the next worldwide POP superstar. We watch Brian fight through the series of misadventures that lead him to what becomes one of the best and most meaningful experiences of his life -- performing for the SPECIAL OLYMPICS ATHLETES and overcoming the odds. All the while, Brian vies for his father's approval, trying to get him to fly out to Windsor, Ontario to watch him perform in the massive spectacle of the show itself! Although he makes a valiant effort, it seems Brian - in Part 1 - is unsuccessful in showing his dad what it is he really is accomplishing - on his own - as an independent artist - with no help. And throughout the series of challenges, Brian has to overlook the fact he caught a horrible BRONCHIAL INFECTION while having to sing (belt) the anthem he wrote for the SPECIAL OLYMPICS - "CHAMPION". With NO manager, NO Major Label, and NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING on the road or how to handle the pressure all on his own -- we watch Brian show the FLIP SIDE of POP CELEBRITY and what its REALLY like when you go "INDIE"! "No frills, no perks, no guidance -- just a wing, a prayer, and a DREAM..." Will Brian pull the show off - or hack away making a fool out of himself in the spotlight of NATIONAL BROADCAST CANADIAN TELEVISION?? Will Brian's dad ACTUALLY FLY OUT and give Brian the extra fatherly support he needs to make it through yet another insane roller coaster ride on his musical journey?!?!
