Title: BPM-X - Migrating Visio® models to Oracle® Business Process Architect (EPC) View count: 48 Rating: 0 (0 ratings) Description: BPM-Xchange® tools allow to efficiently migrate Microsoft® Visio® business process models to high-end BPM platforms. This showcase addresses EPC models in Oracle® Business Process Architect. While normal Visio®-based diagrams don't follow a process methodology, high-end models do. The BPM-X Administrator's "Analyzer for Microsoft® Visio®", however, smartly analyzes Visio® diagram contents and creates corresponding methodologies. Moreover, the Administrator's Mapping Editor - due to the flexible methodical meta-metamodel of BPM-X - allows to map source methodologies to target methodologies like EPC, VACD, BPMN and also customized ones. Employing these mappings as rule sets, the BPM-X Converter will translate BPM models from one platform to another. This screencast outlines the migration process from native Visio diagrams to EPC models in Oracle® BPA Suite Business Process Architect and thus illustrates how to get migration projects started in a quick and cost-effective manner.
