Title: 'Before Dawn' View count: 878 Rating: 5.0 (1 ratings) Description: Original song by the band 'TokyoBlue' consisting Hiroaki Maekawa(bassist), Ywenna Carollin(keys),Poova (vocalist), and Josh Maran(drumer) Tokyo Blue is a project led by a young and upcoming bassist, Hiroaki Maekawa (b) who has worked with Farid Ali, James Boyle, Juwita Suwito, Jose Thomas, and Jerry Felix, and performed at Penang island jazz festival '06, Rock the world '06, Genting international jazz festival '07 and Gumi jazz festival '07 (Korea). Hiroaki teamed up with powerful R&B singer Poova (v), solid funk drummer Josh Maran (d) and creative jazz/pop pianist Ywenna Carollin (p/v) to showcase their original material as well as their favorite Jazz/R&B tunes. Hiroaki and Poova used to be in bands called Jerry Felix band/PHD and performed together regularly in local clubs such as backyard, wikiki and more, while Josh is Hiroaki's classmate in ICOM (International College of Music) who backs up Mia Palencia. Hiroaki and Ywenna met at Penang island jazz festival '06 and have been performing together at private events and working on original tunes ever since. As all 4 members of the band are the songwriters in different genres of music such as jazz, R&B, pop and so forth, music of Tokyo Blue will surely keep you entertained.
