Father Pat Stenson gave a blessing and words of encouragement to the runners prior to the charity fundraiser. Age 1 thru 10 competitors were led by Cameron Dunn, 9, Pawleys Island, in 31:10 among males and Mary Butler, 9, Need Town, in 29:50 among females. Age 11 thru 14 top finishers were Justin Hardee, 12, Pawleys Island, in 27:56 among males and Sarah Cook, 14, Pawleys Island, in 27:19 among females. Those aged 15 thru 19 were led by Charles Foxworth, 16, Murrells Inlet, in 22:58 among males, and Mary Loftus, 15, Georgetown, in 25:52 among females. Runners age 20 thru 24 were led by Paul Bilindiro, 24, Pawleys Island, in 29:49, and Allyson Ladd, 24, Need Town, in 31:09 among females. Age 25 thru 29 runners were led by Mary Rebok, 28, Pawleys Island, in 21:06 among females. Runners age 30 thru 34 were led by Tim Deyesu, 32, Myrtle Beach, in 23:42 among males, and Lisa Benton, 32, Pawleys Island, in 24:07 among females. Those age 35 thru 39 were led by Justin Kronenwette, 37, Conway, in 20:40, among males, and Martha Propps, 37, Pawleys Island, in 25:10 among females. Competitors age 40 thru 44 were led by Chris Fischer, 42, Pawleys Island, in 20:39 among males, and Susan Flak, 44, in 24:00 among females. Those age 45 thru 49 were led by Gene Meyeaux, 45, Pawleys Island, who ran in 24:19, and Giny Montanye, 45, Myrtle Beach, in 24:27 among females Age 50 thru 54 finishers were led by David Goundling, 52, Pawleys Island, in 23:45 among males, and Jamie Dunn, 52, Pawleys Island, in 31:29 among females. Females age 55 thru 59 were led by Isabelle Boyd, 56, of Georgetown, in 37:40. Those age 60 thru 69 were led by James Karanagh, 61, Pawleys Island, in 33:39 among males, and Dawn Biagianti, 62, Murrells Inlet, 36:59 among females. Males age 70 thru 99 were led by Richard Homenick, 73, Schenectady, NY, in 27:25. St. Christophers Children Founder Robert Pelletier of Pawleys Island said the non-profit organization dates back seven years, when a neighbor Mae Kaple asked his help to raise funds for the Christmas holidays for children in foster care. It was incorporated in 2007 with the help of Attorney David Gundling and CPA Thomas Taylor. The organization has a network of service partners in 16 schools in Georgetown County, with expansion expected to include all 19 this September.
