Title: Becoming Jane: "Scarborough Fair" View count: 2511 Rating: 4.964286 (28 ratings) Description: This video is now downloadable. Click here: http://www.4shared.com/file/142813600/1740d301/BJ_Scarborough_Fair.html This is my most internationally viewed video (according to the Insight data) and it is my most downloaded. Thanks guy for all your support! Those of you who read these video descriptions know I am skeptical about Tom LeFroy being Jane Austen's "true love." (Well, Cassandra did destroy all the letters--so we'll never know one way or the other what Jane thought of Tom.) (I consider BJ to enjoyable in the same way SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE is: mostly fictional, but very entertaining.) BUT when I listened to this song, I couldn't help but think of Tom taking Jane to the fair as well as the idyllic life he represents. So, while this is a Jane and Tom fanvid, it also celebrates an idealized, nostalgic look at the Regency era. This fanvid is dedicated to katinkagirlie, who is an awesome vid-maker and wonderful friend. "Scarborough Fair" sung by Hayley Westenra of Celtic Woman. (From A NEW JOURNEY by Celtic Woman, 2006) Are you going to the Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme Remember me to one who lives there He was once a true love of mine Tell him to make me a cambric shirt Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme Without no seams nor needlework Then he'll be a true love of mine Tell him to find me an acre of land Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme Between the salt water and the sea strand Then he'll be a true love of mine Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme Remember me to one who lives there He was once a true love of mine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All copyrights belong to Miramax Films and Manhattan Records.
