Catherine Tramell is definatly Sharon's best performance, and I think Michael Douglas ,as Nick Curran, also gives the best performance of his career. Also, Jeanne Tripplehorn as Beth Garner is also a worthy performance. Becoming the 9th highest grossing film of 1992, Basic Instinct (originally titled "Love Hurts") remains one of the greatest thrillers ever made.
