But Joe easily found a spot across the street from Davids house. I looked at all the people inside. I had no idea who three fourths of them where. "I think I should just wait in the car Joe." I replied still looking at the house. People where making out on the front lawn. Ew. "youre a million times safer IN the house than out of it. Your gonna be fine, come on." Joe replied and stepped out of the car he opened my door for me and helped me out. He took my hand and I stood close to him, hugging his arm. We got inside and the music was SO loud. I put my other hand on Joes so he couldnt reali get away. Both my hands were clinging to him. "you want something to drink?" Joe asked. "yeah." "beer?" he asked quickly. "you can, not me, somebody has to drive home." I replied looking around at everyone. Nobodi was paying attention to us. "ok, Ill be right back, go find someone to talk to." Joe replied freeing his hand form mine and going off into another room. I looked around the room and folded my arms across my chest. Maybe I should go, I dont see anybody I know and Joes gonna be drunk. "hey." I turned to see David. Wow he shows up everywhere. "oh hi." I replied with a smile. Im glad he wasnt drunk at the moment, but a beer was in his hand. "having fun?" he asked. "not reali, I dont know anyone here." I replied and looked around again. "you know me." I smiled and looked at my feet. "um, your house is nice." I replied trying to keep him with me until Joe got back. "thanks. 3 story house, pool outback." David replied and took a drink of his beer. "veri cool." This was getting boring. Come on Joe. "Theres Kerry over there, you know her right?" David asked pointing with the hand with the beer in it. I looked behind me, ok, well, id prefer Kerry over David any day. "ill um go talk to her, I guess I see you later." I replied trying not to sound rude. He nodded and finished off his beer. It was like a maze just to get a few feet away from me. "Hey Lili!" Kerry said seeing me and gave me a hug. "wheres Joe." Kevin asked me. "he went to get a beer." I replied. "Oh, I saw him outside a few minutes ago talking to some other guys." Kevin replied. "oh, did you see him come back in?" I asked, maybe he was in a fight. "no" Kerry and Kevin both replied. "ill go with you to find him. I'll be back honey." Kerry replied and linked arms with me as we pushed our way outside. We got outside and looked around and found no sight of Joe. I noticed Bobby and we went up to him. "have you seen Joe?" Kerry asked for me. "I pushed him in the pool a while ago." Bobby replied. "well, did anyone help him out?" I asked worried. "like I care." Bobby replied. We both rushed to the edge of the pool and looked down. We saw, him at the bottom of the pool, laying there, still, eyes open. "no" I whispered. "im getting Kevin." Kerry rushed inside and dragged Kevin out. He climbed in the pool and got his brother. He sat him by the door and I kneeled beside him. A crowd gathered around us. Joe wasnt breathing. "im calling 911." someone from the crowd said. Tears slid down my face and I ran my fingers thru Joes hair. This isnt real. Im dreaming, I have to be.
