Title: Apple G5 iMac Ant Farm View count: 98 Rating: 0 (0 ratings) Description: I came across a dead G5 iMac. I know there are some quick cheap (about $25) transistor fixes if you can solder yourself. However, a technician said that there might be more wrong with this computer and it was quoted as $350+ to diagnose and repair whatever might be wrong with the computer. The computer was scheduled to go to e-waste, but I salvaged it instead. I've built 3 other Macintanks and knew that I couldn't use this for a tank, so I decided to make it into an ant farm instead. It was a really simple build. I had some plexiglass left over from a Macintank, and we got a free piece of wood to go in between these two pieces.
