Title: Anywhere but here; S.1 E.1 View count: 137 Rating: 5.0 (3 ratings) Description: --Selena's side. Two words. Designated, Driver. Yep, that about sums up my current relationship with my friends, while they're reminiscing about middle school memories, and and drinking 'till they can't see straight, I'm the one in the in the back sipping on a juice box, 'The responsible one' is how my dad puts it, and believe me, I sure did not ask for that title. It used to be only Miley, Demi & I, but since Joe & Nick's parents were in some boating accident in Fiji, I'm offically the fifth wheel. Joe takes a sip of his beer, "...And then she says 'because..I wanted the free sample!" Demi spills her beer as she throws her head back in laughter. I poked the roaring fire with a stick, Every Friday night we drive out of town to this abandoned block of land and have a bon fire, sometimes other highschool seniors will come, but it's usually just us. I pretend to glance at my watch, "Oh, look at the time, we should be heading back now." I push myself up from the extremely uncomfortable log. "What?! No!" Demi whines. "Don't be the party pooper Sel! Sit down and have a beer." She digs around in the cooler and pulls out a frosty bottle, "Ugh, Demi, I've told you! I- don't-drink!" "You gotta lighten up Lena." She lightly shakes the bottle in front of me. For a split second I contemplate taking the bottle and spilling it all over her outfit, I hate it when she gets this wasted. "You know what, I'm leaving, you guys can walk home!" I bustle past the pairs of knees avoiding the flames only to be stopped by a hand holding my own. I quickly turned to see Nick smiling at me. "Please stay? Just a little longer?" At that moment my anger suddenly evaporated. Three hours later, 3;18am to be precise, I start to pile the group of drunk teenagers, who I call my friends, into my parents minivan. I strategically, place Demi next to the window, I don't want to think about how many Saturdays mornings I've spent cleaning puke off the floor. "Who wants to go next to Demi?" I say while buckeling Demi's seatbelt. "Not it!" Miley shouts. "I don't feel so good." Joe says as he leans against the vans tire. "Me either." Demi leans sideways in her seat. "No no no no, the window, THE WIND-" But it was too late, there goes my Saturday sleep in. I sigh. "Someone's going to have to sit up front, unless they want to sit in regurgitated beer and cocktail weenies." I say smiling. "Now that...is something I... didn't need to hear." Joe slurred while clutching his stomach. I kneel down beside him and pinch his cheek, I use my baby voice "Somebody's going to have a hangover later." "I'll sit up front." Nick slides into the passengers seat. Nick was the only one sober enough to speak in fluent English. I eventually slide the back door shut and hop in the drivers seat. "EVERYBODY!-" Demi yells. "Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall, ninety nine bottles of beer, take on down and pass it around..." She got to twenty-three bottles by the time we reached Miley's house. "Yo Miles, your stop." She slowly blinked her eyes. "Oh, Miley-" Demi leaned forward, "-Can I stay at your place tonight?" "Yeah, sure, whatever. You're welcome to stay too Nick, if you want..." Miley said with a sweet smile. Nick chuckled, "Maybe some other time." We watched the girls stumble up the driveway before taking off around the block to Nick & Joe's house. "So, how are your parents, Nick?" I say, trying to break the tension from the akward silence. "To be honest, I have no idea. All they said was that neither of them are well enough to travel home, I mean, if they really wanted a longer holiday, they shouldv'e just told us, don't you think Joe?" Nick turned around in his seat to face the back of the van. "Joe? Are you ok?! Joe?!" I quickly glance at Nick's fear stricken face. "Joe?!" He yelled it this time. "What's the matter, Nick?" "Stop the car!" -My first cliffhanger, eep(; cmmnt plsā„ Tags: elsix3, anywhere, but, here, selena, joe, nick, miley, Author: elsix3 |
