And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions. In Hosea 6:6 For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings. In Jeremiah 6:19-20; 19 Hear, O earth: I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my words and have rejected my law. 20 What do I care about incense from Sheba or sweet calamus from a distant land? Any preacher who asks for tithes or any form of offerings saying it is for God or for the temple is a liar—please read carefully verses 24-25 once more.
