An rc model of his Boydster II hot rod is available in the States; here I review one of the few examples to be found in Europe. The car is supplied with a few modest accessories, such as a pitifully low-capacity 7.2V NiCad (straight in the recycling bin), a "wall wart" charger with no cutoff, and an imposing-looking transmitter with a tiny range. In the interest of journalistic integrity I used these accessories for the review. They were all crap. I have grave doubts about the advisability of using the charger in particular, as it has no delta peak or thermal cutout facility.
