Take note of the C#m pent.[9th fret blues box] over the Amaj7 and the Bm pent.[7th fret blues box] over the Cmaj7. C#m pent[C# E F# G# B] is contained within the A major scale.Bm pent[B D E F# A] is contained within the G major scale. This is a progression my college roommate and I would jam over for countless hours during the 70's. You could also think of it as A maj. pent.[A B C# E F#] and Am pent.[A C D E G] oscillating back and forth for each chord.
