Joe's smile faded, "What?" She tried to stop looking, but her eyes never met Joe's. He turned around to look at what she was looking at then looked back at her, "Who is that?" She leaned forward to whisper in his ear, "My ex, Chris." "Oh." Jen sat back down, keeping her eyes on the guy. She found all his improved features- better hair, bigger smile, fuller lips, sharper cheek bones, golden skin, and bigger eyes. Chris looked up at her. She gasped and looked away, noticing his chocolate eyes, "Joe, can we leave?" Without a word, he got up and Jen followed. Before they made it to the elevator, Jen felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around, and Chris was there. She glared, "What do you want?" Chris chuckled, "Oh, Jen, I knew I would never forget you." Memories started to cram Jen's mind. This was why she felt like she accomplished something on her first date with Joe (the way she didn't cry). She cried on her first date with Chris since she was really happy, but she caught him cheating and was really depressed remembering her joy. That's why she was happy when she didn't cry on her date with Joe- so she wouldn't feel so bad if he breaks up with her. She has it coming. After all, he's Joe Jonas, but Joe never leaves her mind. Joe put his arm around Jen defensively, "What do you want from her?" "I don't want anything from her. I want HER, but obviously she's taken by a wannabe." Joe glared, and Jen scowled, "A wannabe what?" "Of me. I mean look at him. Our hair's pretty close. Our eyes are both brown, but he's paler. Plus what are those things on his face? Caterpillars?" "You're such a jerk!" Jen hissed. Chris put his hands up defensively, "Whoa. I'm sorry, Honey, but if he were to be an exact copy, he should be able to bark back." Joe kept looking down in shame and pushed the elevator button. Jen spoke up, "Stop trying to get me back." Chris chuckled once, "I'm not trying to get you back. I'm simply just criticizing you're new lover." Jen was about to tackle him, but Joe pushed her into the elevator. Chris was about to go in, but Joe shoved him back and got in with her before the doors closed. Luckily, they closed before Chris got in, too. Jen was breathing hard to get her anger out, "I HATE HIM!" "Calm down, Jen." "He made fun of you." "I know, but I'm strong enough to not hurt him. Emotionally and physically." "Ugh, well this vacation is gonna be hell with or without getting hurt." The elevator opened and they both got out. "Don't say that. Let's hang out in my room. Then we could go to pool later." Jen nodded in approval. When it was seven o' clock, Joe and Jen finished watching their fourth movie. Jen opened the door to her and Nick's room to see if Claire was there. They were watching TV, too. "Ready to go to the pool?" Joe asked. Claire stood up from the couch, "Yeah." "I'll get Dani and Kev," Jen said and left. Nick stood up, "I guess I'm coming, too." In minutes, they got to the sky deck. There were a lot of people at the pool, but they found a place to sit and an empty place in the deeper part of the pool to hang out. Joe was the first to jump in. Kevin and Dani set their towels down and held hands when they jumped in. Jen unwrapped the towel, and, of course, Joe stared. She giggled and jumped in then splashed him. "I think I'll just hang out here," Nick said and looked away. "Why? C'mon, Baby," Claire smiled. Nick blushed, "Um... no I'm fine." Claire rolled her eyes, "Okay. Well the temperature's like in the high seventies. At least take the jacket off." He blushed harder, "No, it's-" "Okay, I'll do it for you." She kissed him for he could argue so he would stay still. She unzipped his jacket through the kiss and let go once it fell onto the ground. Her eyes gazed down at him. He kept blushing, "You see why I wore a jacket?" "Y-yeah, Claire said and stumbled a foot away. She took off her shorts and stepped down the pool's steps that were carved in the side trying not to look back. "Claire?" harmonic voices called. She turned towards the call. It came from Brandon and the girl he was with earlier. They were standing by the edge of the pool and haven't gotten in yet. This time she could get a good look of who he was with. The girl was tan with a mix of brown and hazel eyes, her sandy brown hair brushing her shoulders. Claire knew she was also her best friend- the one that moved to Florida many years ago. Claire's curious eyes widened, "Natasha?" [a/n Natasha is played by BellaElla665, and she asked to be in my story a long time ago so now she's in it.
