Title: 2009 :) View count: 129 Rating: 5.0 (3 ratings) Description: A contest entry for Huddy4Ever 2009, I don't know where to begin :) Passed C+ Test & BSJA Pony Proficiency Qualified & Competed BN 2nd Rounds Qualified & Competed BRC National Championships Jumped BSJA Up To Fox Setting Up The School Team And That's just Some I Did all that with George, I've had him for the best 2 years of my life now, it's getting harder and harder to believe that he was saved from slaughter, and that he was a complete novice when i got him. My fall from him is a mere distant memory, but my love for him is constant. George taught me so much about riding, he never stops teaching me and I'm always learning something from him. In May, we bought Charlie as a complete novice who had never jumped and barely been ridden, in hindsight, it was too big a jump for my Mum, but that's not to say it was a bad decision, I taught him to jump, and, although i rode him only 10 times in 4 weeks, he went back to his old owners knowing how to jump up to 90cm, in good condition, cantering on the bit, and not resembling a horse who had been saved from slaughter.He's a future star, so watch out for him! Armine's taken a back seat this year, as his hooves are such bad quality, but I've brought him back into work and we were jumping 90cm courses at my friend's yard. he has just gone out on loan to a girl who I am sure will do well on him. With Charlie being sold in August and Armine Going out on loan, we started looking for something. By complete coincidence, I found out about the horse I'd been looking for all year on the same day as one of the most talented horses ever, Mickey died :(. Middy (Guthlac Midnight Magic), is 12 years old, and she's quite green still. She has a nasty stop, which I'm hopefully going to get out of her and she's a bit imbalanced in her canter when there are no jumps to give her something to focus on. She is very wary of people in the stable, as she was neglected and (we think) bashed about by the people who owned her before the people who've given her to us on trial.
