The Escalade hybrid will be a full hybrid using GM's new dual mode hybrid technology. Early reports indicate that the hybrid Escalade will still use a V8 in the hybrid version, but it will be a more fuel economical version than the standard 6.2 liter unit. GM's two-mode hybrid technology will place electric motors mounted inside the transmission. One drive mode will assist with slow, city driving, the other with highway driving.
