I felt Demi lie down on top of me, and I placed my arms around her. I stroked the fabric of her shirt softly, like air guitar. She giggled. I closed my eyes. Demi shifted in my arms and flipped over. She rested her head on my chest, placed on hand on my hair, and another on my stomach. I heard Selena and David whispering. "They are so cute..." Selena cooed. "Yeah, sure.." She laughed softly, I almost coudn't hear it. "Do you think Joe will propose to her when they're older?" "Well yeah, it's either that or they don't." She sighed. "I wish I could see Joe shirtless, Demi says he's ripped." I tried not to smile and just kept stroking Demi's back subtly. I wasn't really asleep and neither was Demi. I felt Demi smile because her cheek was on my chest. I let one hand dangle off the log. "Sel, Joe IS ripped, but I doubt you would see his muscles. He's very...self conscious." Lies, I thought. "Darn. Oh well, I just better see them before he lets himself go." I tried not to laugh. "Keep dreaming." I heard a few sticks being thrown into the fire. "So how was Chicago?" "It was good. I mean, this is so much better, a little local college, but Chicago did have a better education plan..." "Did you miss me?" I heard a smile in her voice. "Of course I missed you." "I love you David." "I love you too, Sel." Demi and I sat up. "WHAT?!" we both shouted. David laughed. "I told you they weren't sleeping..." He held out his hand. "Five bucks, Selena." Selena rolled her eyes and slapped a 5 dollar bill in his awaiting hand. Demi turned around and faced me. She laughed. "They don't love each other..." I straightened her hair with my fingers. "Your hair's all messy..." She giggled and pushed my hand away. I stared into her eyes, the bright red fire light was making her eyes brighter, as if that were possible. The red shone in them, making them a soft amber. I smiled widely and stroked her cheek. I heard David mumble, "Silent relationships are so weird.." Demi looked at me flirtatiously. She started laughing. "Hi, Joe." I smiled. "Hi, Demi." "You look drop dead gorgeous tonight..." "As do you, Demi." I grabbed her hand kissed it softly. After I looked up she pulled the hair out of my eyes. "Joe you really do look great tonight." I kissed her cheek. "And you are undeniably the most beautiful girl here..." Selena coughed, "AHEM.." I looked at Selena than back at Demi. "The most beautiful girl here...and the whole world.." I gave Demi a soft hug. I tightened it a lot. "I love you, Demi." "I love you too, Joe." I felt more arms go around us and looked up automatically. Selena and David hugged us. I chuckled. "I love you guys."
