‘Because I’m a girl’: Fourth grader denied right to play with team
When Jaelyn Bates is on the basketball court, her game matches up with her male fourth grade classmates. However, her team was denied the right to play in a national championship qualifying game because the rules say girls can’t play with boys. NBC’s Dave Briggs reports.
