‘Hello World’: Space probe’s first message to Earth

After two and a half years in electronic hibernation, the Rosetta space probe is making contact with Earth, sending a message via Twitter on Monday that traveled 500 million miles. NASA is taking part in the historic European mission to study a comet up close.
