One arrested after police raid Justin Bieber’s home

While police were responding to a complaint from the singer’s neighbors who say their house was egged, a member of the singer’s entourage was arrested on an unrelated drug charge.

>> reporter: it all started when bieber was accused of egging his neighbor's house on thursday. sounds harmless, but caused an estimated $20,000 in damages.

>> it was a vandalism case that involved eggs. but the amount of damage brought it into the felony section, which is why we did a search warrant .

>> investigators entered bieber 's multimillion dollar mansion on tuesday looking for surveillance video and other evidence that could link the 19-year-old singer to the felony crime. the unidentified victim claims he saw bieber pelting his home with more than 20 eggs. the celebrity website tmz posted a recording the victim claims he captured on his cell phone when he confronted the pop star .

>> nbc news contacted representatives for justin bieber who had no comment. and while the teen pop star was not arrested, a rapper at bieber 's home during the search was taken into custody on a drug charge unrelated to the egg attack investigation. it's just the latest in a series of high-profile incidents for the pop star from concert cancellations to run-ins with the paparazzi to speeding through his posh, gated community . now bieber waits as the evidence collected at his home is analyzed by police. evidence that will either exonerate him or expose him to some serious charges by the district attorney.

>> even though people may chuckle about eggs being the vehicle for the crime, this really is a big deal . this is a felony with significant damages and significant ramifications for justin .
