Rescue efforts on hold for stranded ship passengers

A helicopter set to rescue passengers on a stranded ship off of Antarctica is on standby due to poor visibility.

>>> rescue efforts are on hold this morning for passengers stuck in the ice on that research ship in antarctica. a helicopter is on stand by to air lift the passengers out to a nearby chinese ice breaker but poor visibility is still hampering those efforts. 74 scientists, tourists and crew have been stuck there for more than a week now. but as you see, they aren't letting the situation get their holiday spirit down. they wrote this special song to welcome in the new year.
