‘SNL’ to add black female performer next month

After criticism that the popular sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live”has not featured a black female cast member in several years, the show is now holding special auditions with a plan to hire a new performer in January.

>> well, apparently snl minced their apology. he tells the new york times he planned to add a black female cast member by next month. she would be the first since mya rudolph left in 2007 . he has been traveling the country and holding auditions. one performer tweeted out a photo of some of the women that tried out for the coveted spot. look forward to that announcement soon.
