Lupita Nyong'o talks Golden Globe nomination

The former Yale Drama student, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “12 Years a Slave,” says the response to the film has been very exciting and encouraging.

>> i thought, yeah, it was like a roller coaster going down. i'm still like shaking from hearing my name in that context.

>> what has this experience been like? because you were a drama student. here you are not only in this wonderful movie getting such acclaim. now a golden globe nominee?

>> i don't know. it's just been, it's been such a rewarding experience from the get-go, you know, playing patsy was such a fulfilling experience and now the way the film is being received is so exciting and so encouraging and i'm just so proud of being "12 years a slave" team and to everyone else in this film that has been nominated, i'm just so, so, so happy for everyone.
