Coyote joins a high school cross-country race

High school runners in Arizona faced some unexpected competition last week when a coyote decided to join in on the cross-country state championships. TODAY’s Natalie Morales reports.

>>> take a look at this, high school runners in arizona got unexpected competition last weekend after a coyote decided to join in the cross country state championship . look how this happened. it happened between mile one and two at phoenix golf course there as coyote chasing a different kind of roadrunner. he was in the race for about 50 feet and then ducked away. the human runners were unphased as they continued on toward the finish line.
